So, everyone knows that I'm about to embark on a strange, new journey in the next couple months or so. Well, because there will be so many different things I'll have to get used to, I may as well start doing that now. And that, my friends, requires a steady change in diet. Read on for further details.
So, what I'm going to do is steadily switch from my meat-driven foods over to veggies. I won't be vegan, but I'll take on a primarily vegetarian lifestyle. Which means, I'm not going to eat meat (too much).
What I'm giving up entirely will consist of beef and pork. Sorry cows, I'll stick to the cheese and milk. And pigs...just...no. However, some things I'll keep eating a little bit of are chicken and fish. Both are still a bit healthy, so I think I'll keep a little of those in my diet.
And now, to the interesting part. I'm going to mainly eat veggies and rice. I'm fixing rice right now, and I'll be putting either honey or ground cinnamon on top. Not sure which...may do both. But yeah...rice, with honey and/or ground cinnamon. Sounds like something much healthier than cereal, that's for sure.
Now...the most difficult thing. Soda. I have to give that up a great deal...or at least not get the caffeine-filled kinds. Pepsi, Coke, you all gotta go! But I think I'll try to have some Crush whenever I can...because it just has a little sugar. I may eventually give that up as well, but right now, the big ones have to go.
Anything else (candy, preservative-filled foods, etc) will be completely avoided after my college is over (in about three weeks). So, until then, I'm stuck eating some things that aren't entirely healthy, but must be done for survival right now. Don't worry though...if I get into the right state of mind, I may even be able to give up eating. I just have to become a monk or something ;D
Sounds a lot like my diet for the past year. I feel much better and even my thoughts and dreams are clearer. It also has affected my mood , which is brighter and happier. I support and encourage it. ~Jake

DeleteThanks, and I'm definitely going to keep doing my best to keep this diet. I haven't been able to the last week though, because of school and limited funds, but I'll keep trying now.
