Now Open to Donations!

So, now that it has come so close to start preparations, it has come to my attention that there are still quite a few things lacking. So, I suppose I should give you all a TL;DR before launching into a full explanation. Basically, I may be postponing things by a week or two before officially leaving, but I have given a chance to still make it a possibility that I can depart on time by opening up donations. The main reason is because it's just too short a time to get everything I will need just to get things going. Plus, I can make some money by working for my grandmother if I postpone a little bit of time. More information on this, after the jump.


Now, here's the long story version. I have just assessed the state of affairs within my family, and it appears I may have to stay around for a time...things have been terrible for them, and I need to clean up the mess, as much as I can. Of course I don't plan to stay too long...they have to be able to solve their own things as well. But I don't want to just disappear...so, as you can see, I'm a bit conflicted on that end.

Also, I need money. Or at least donated items...and I'm trying my hardest not to rely on everyone else, but there are just some things that are required and I have no other way to obtain them. So, I've opened up a donation page. People can read my reasons as to why I am requesting money, and if they so choose, they may donate any amount they desire to me. Even if it's a penny, I'll be grateful for the donation. I've also made a secondary page for items that I've still yet to obtain. These items are going to be used on my journey, so I'm trying to get as much as I can before the journey starts. I have also left contact information on both those pages so that you may get in touch with me.

Some good news is that I'll be working for my grandmother while I'm in town, so I can make some money for my trip. I don't know how many hours I can put in, but I'll be doing as much as I can for the money I'm making. Cutting grass, working on the network infrastructure (it fell apart before I came home so I have to fix everything before I leave) and anything else. I've got a month, if not a little bit longer, just to get everything done.

So, I haven't figured out transportation just yet. I can work on getting a permit, but that doesn't fix the immediate need of a car or something to drive. Also, I wouldn't be able to drive it alone until I got my license. I just have to figure out the perfect thing for that.
